Harvested from my "organic" garden last fall.

About 2.5 ft tall at maturity.

These lovely purple flowers are perennial. Growing beautiful green bladelike foliage. The bloom time is short but spectacular. With perhaps 3 flowers per stalk. (Hotter microclimates force a more synchronous bloom. Cooler microclimates produce longer / staggered bloomtime. )

They like well drained acid soil of pH 6-7
.They also like a few inches of mulch in full sun to keep roots cool. Drought resistant.

They will not bloom the first year after planting seed. But will spread more each consecutive year, reaching their a peak after 3-4 years. They will need to be divided to remain beautiful after 5 years.

you get as least as many seeds (or more!) than the seeds shown in the photos. Packaged in a handmade recycled envelope.
