I want to try sprouting them to mix with my other sprouted veggies
and grinding them for flour as my husband is allergic to wheat flour
I have tried many things most Americans don't eat and have had great sucess with most of them....we are not all alike, we don't all like the same things and some of us are more adventurous than others. thaks for the auction.

How long does it take to get a full stalk? Do they like sun or shade? These would be great for bird/hamster treats!!

Hi Bobby, Thanks for your interest. It would take anywhere from 60-80 days to flower and almost 100-109 days to mature. Yeah, birds love to eat them. We had pigeons and they devoured them. I don't have practical knowledge of hamsters though. These plants like sun.

There are many more articles in the internet which you can find in the internet regarding human consumption of finger millet. As a matter of fact, I come from a community where everyone includes this nutritious grain often in their diet.

aladyinneed, this is allowed as she is selling seeds to grow plants, just like anyone else in the garden section selling flower/tree/etc. seeds. I have heard of people eating millet, though I never have, and it's even used as a better grain in premium dog foods.

Oh, is this a perennial or would I have to harvest seeds to grow more next year?

You'll have to harvest the seeds to grow them next year. It won't be able to survive frost and snow either.
