Well, Hi back at cha. I've been around. Where have you been looking? LOL. I understand saving up the Amazon Gift Certs. for Christmas, or Chanukah or Kwanzaa or Ramadaan....but I can't do it. .. I'm not really sure, but I have to get going on Xmas gifts. Finding something for my husband is always an issue, and you can get pretty much anything on Amazon, usually at about the best price too.

You're right about Amazon being a great place to shop. I always stop there when I'm doing price comparisons, or pricing things myself for things I want to sell. And the diversity and multitude of sellers they partner with ... the competition helps keep their prices low. I have also found the Thriftbooks.com is one of the best place to find books, especially older books, but not exclusively. They are very affordable and always free shipping. Even with media mail, books are heavy to ship.. I can see why people are going to the KINDLE. As for me and my house, we prefer to turn a page.... and mark that page with our choice of bookmarks. Is your husband a "book-kind of guy"?

I can't believe this card is going for so much. $5 cards usually max out around 1200. Must be someone else discovered Amazon's Video on Demand......I don't know if you remember my posting, but I have a tremendous crush on Mariska Hargitay. Well, maybe not a "crush" per se, but I think she does a convincing job playing Olivia Benson on Law & Order: SVU. Amazon has them for this season as low as $1.89 an episode. When you pay, it goes into your online library to watch anytime you want, like have-it-your-way reruns.LOL

He does like books, but I don't pick them out for him. I usually try to find him some sort of gadget he can play with on Christmas day, but it has to be an expensive one!

I'll keep my eye open for suggestions. Is there a Harbor Freight near you? They have a website, too. Everytime I go in there I get the fuzzy eyeball, because I'm a woman (as I recall) and it really is a good ol' boys' club. It's fun to browse, they have good prices and I just love to stir up trouble.
