The listing, 6 Buffalo Heads all Mint Marks 1927-D 1927-S 1928-D 1928-S 1929-D 1929-S has ended.
Picture 1 shows the entire lot of buffalo head nickels up for auction. All are in the 1920's with mint marks.
Pictures 2 and 3 show the 1927-D, which is good condition. The horn on the reverse does not show, and the date is weak; however the rims look pretty good and the mint mark is quite clear.
Pictures 4 and 5 show the 1927-S, which is in VG condition, since a fair portion of the horn is showing and the date is stronger relative to the 1927-D. The rims look pretty good on this coin as well and the mint mark is very clean.
Pictures 6 and 7 show the 1928-D, which is in VG condition, since part of the horn shows and the date and mint mark are clear, the latter being a little flattened. The rims look good on this coin.
Pictures 8 and 9 show the 1928-S, which is in G condition since the horns do not show; the date is a little weak, and the mint mark looks pretty good, though slightly flattened.
Pictures 10 and 11 show the 1929-D, which has some weakness in the date while the mint mark is very clear. I rate this coin as VG to VG+ based on the fact that a fair amount of the horn is showing, and that the rims are pretty good.
Pictures 12 and 13 show the 1929-S, which I grade as F-, since the horn is far more present than in the other coins, the date is fairly strong, although the mint mark is a little flattened. The rims are good. And there is a slight bleeding of the rims into LIBERTY on the obverse, which keeps the coin from being in truly F condition.
