I dont quite understand the non-soil medium. What would I be using? How can a plant grow with out soil? thanks.

I personally think if you use the "potting soil" that has the mixture of the white pellets and the peat in it you (like the Miracle Grow potting soil" you'll be fine. I think they mean not solid dirt. THANX for you question and I'll add this info to the listing!! ~G :D
