The listing, 5 90% Washington Quarters all w/ "S" mint marks 1941-S 1943-S 1944-S 1945-S 1948-S has ended.
I am using the American Numismatic Association grading standards, since the Red Book only grades the quarters of these years w/ that have an EF grade. None of these are EF; all of them are 90% pure silver.
The 1941-S grades as F+. Aspects of the coin include some VF criteria as well as some for F. Details show only at the back of the hair, but the motto is fairly strong. Feathers on the eagle's breast are worn smooth. Most of the detail in the wings on the reverse are clear. The rims are pretty good, although there are some noticeable rim dings, especially at 8:00 on the reverse.
The 1943-S grades as F-. Details show only at the back of the hair. The motto on the obverse is pretty good, except for a somewhat flattened IN and the first T in IN GOD WE TRUST. Parts of the wing on the obverse are present, but some are worn nearly smooth. The rims are intact on the obverse, but bleed somewhat on the reverse.
The 1944-S grades as VG- to VG at best. The design is clear but flat and lacking details. The I in IN GOD WE TRUST is nearly gone; otherwise the motto is intact. Somewhat less than half the detail in the eagle's wings is present. The rims merge with the letters on both sides of the coin, especially the reverse.
The 1945-S grades G+ to VG- at best, and overall, appears close to heavily worn, but not completely. The motto (IN GOD WE TRUST) is weak in several places. Well less than half the detail in the eagle's wings is present. LIBERTY is present but merges with the rims.
The 1948-S grades from VG+ to F-. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST is intact, and the details show at the back of the hair. The eagle's wings are about halfway present. This coin has more luster than the 1941-S, but also has scratches on the obverse which detract from its value. The rims are good on the obverse but merge with the lettering on the reverse.
