I can reference that the plastic cases are not necessary. You can just place the art in the transparent cover of new plastic cases. This link is just one of many examples of how each NEW case can cost around 30 cents!

You are saving more on DVDs without cases. It's better to save $6.60 on shipping 5 DVDs than $1.50 for new cases.
