The listing, Vintage Loius Vuitton Handbag has ended.
This is a old Louis Vuitton as you will see by pics . It has a serial # on the inside and its some kinda paper one . The one side of strap is broken , but can easily be replaced I was told by company.. It has some minor ink stains inside . but it is a very nice handbag with alot of sear still left . If U have any Questions feel free to email me , and i will try my best to answer. This was given to me as a gift . yrs ago , and put up when strap broke. now its time to clean out closet .
I have been a member on Listia for quite a while now. I think about a year and a half or so. When I joined everyone was nice and much more polite to each other. I hardly ever saw a rude comment and rarely did anyone get blocked. Comments never had to be hidden. I don't understand what is wrong with people. They have lost the whole understanding of what this site is all about or they never understood in the first place. It is a shame that people are treating each other this way instead of just passing by things that they may have a problem with. I have seen alot of good people leave Listia because they got tired of it and I can see why.
I sell 1:1 AAA quality LV reps. I've owned a few LV bags. Even research I've never seen a sticker with numbers like that. The inside is consistent with a 1:1 rep. The hardware, mainly the zipper pulls should be made of solid brass, therefore they may tarnish a little but the gold wouldn't "come off". There should be a heat stamp somewhere in the bag. Tightly in a corner or in the seams. It would be stamped into the material. And a serial number would never have that many numbers/letters. It should be a simple date code and the place it was manufactured. Early 80s vintage would have 3 or 4 numbers while late 80s started the letter/number sequence. It would definitely be worth it to take to an LV store. If it is real they can do that repair for a small price. And can even clean the inside! It would seem brand new after that and you could sell for a really nice price! I hope it is real! If you purchased from someone and they told you it was real and turned out not to be then that would be awful! :(
I am going to check , and look over with a fine tooth comb Now Thanks.. for I bought it off of here awhile back. and told it was real.. should have known it may not .. thats when I stated out Thanks again for all the info. : ) I greatly appreciate it .
hi there- the 3rd & 5th pics might be better if you used the macro setting (designated by a flower symbol)- good luck with this LV bag. also, know that designer items go through intense scrutiny, as the site discourages fakes/knock-offs, but allows "designer inspired" items. in the beginning, i used to take it so personally but eventually as i gained more experience, knew what to include in the description and types of pictures that are all helpful in determining if an item is authentic.
It is confusing because the strap looks authentic, nice patine, has the red around the edges, and the stamp on the leather inside looks authentic, perfect spacing of the letters, the leather looks fantastic, good patina, and the type of lettering is dead on. But, then you get to the lining and that looks awful, the stitching is wrong and that sticker....hmmmmmmm. I want it just so I can figure that out. lol...
all I know its not a sticker . and was on there when recieved. So plz U have all the pics tp look at and see .If U don't want to bid Plz don't and move on .. : ) and have a nice Day
If its is (not saying it isn't) a authentic LV, you can take it to them, or mail it in and they will fix it for free or close to nothing! Nice auction! Watching!
The bag is not a REAL Louis Vuittan & the rules state NO replicas are allowed on this site. I am trying 2 be compromising & not report that it is a replica & not real. I literally just joined Listia this past Wednesday on 5-8-2013 for the first time EVER myself. So please treat this transaction as if it were you it was happening to PLEASE!!!
Some of you amaze me. She is selling a bag with all the information she has on it with what she knows as the truth. She did not come here stating it was a reproduction. She feels this is a real LV and was told so and bought it as such. She has, in all good faith, provided all of the numbers and authentication that she can to try and prove what she believes to be true and she is simply attacked? Bags are heavy, period. You see she charges shipping and if you do not like it, don't bid or risk a negative. I just can not believe how negative so many are on this site. Everyone could put things in MUCH kinder terms. There is no reason to be so harsh. Not everyone can afford to pay you for taking their free items. This bag is from when I was in high school. That is not a sticker. It is a sewn in label that is that almost paper feeling fabric... I don't know what it is called. It is not meant to be gorgeous, the fabric the number is on is made for longevity. That said, LV would authenticate the bag and make it new for you, usually for no charge or a really nominal fee. You can contact them to get a mailing slip that they will send to you free of charge if they authenticate the serial number. I wish you good luck and hope for you kinder comments and less hostility in your future auctions. It's really unwarranted and rude. If you take extreme offense to this, I suppose you're guilty of being a random attack animal.
