Hi ya F&W. I was just wondering, because I'm a bit of a shell aficionado, were these shell collected off the each or were they once on necklaces that you have taken apart? I only ask because they remind me of the shells the old mother in Hawaii would sell as leis when I lived there, and I used to go to garage sale out there and I would buy the broken leis they would sell and use the shells to make earring and stuff, and then I would sell the earring I made from the leis at my stand at all the open air markets I worked at. And since you said they already have holes in them I was wondering if they started out as necklaces. I live even now going to garge sales and flea markets and buying old jewelry and taking them apart for the beads and the reusing them into new art! But man if you personally collected them and then decided to put holes in them yourself, that's some dedication, and I hope you listing goes way up in credits. Either way they are beautiful shells. I hope I win em, so I can make some awesome jewelry with em!
I got them second hand from a Native American artist who was no longer doing her gourd art. I am pretty sure she got them off a necklace, as I too have seen them before. I use them for my traditional California Indian Dolls as necklaces. Thank you for your kind compliments!!
