The listing, Metallic Pink Crochet Hook has ended.
This is a really neat vintage crochet hook. It's in great condition. I'm not sure if it's even been used. It's a metallic pink/lavender color. Brand is Susan Bates and size is G-6.

I don't know much about knitting, so if I left anything out, please feel free to ask :)

No problem! I recommend you try starting with a regular granny square because they are so easy to learn to make. They are very easy for beginners and you can stitch em together to make blankets small and large or you can make shoulder bags or many things to make with them. Just search the web for all the uses for em. Then you can work up to more advanced techniques. Can you tell I'm totally "hooked" on crochet?! =0)
Love that hook! My local walmart still carries them! I didn't know that they were for an afghan stitch tho! Thanks for the info, now I am going to have to go google how to do an afghan stitch, cause I am making blankets and snuggie's for everyone for christmas!
block them. when I see people do that on mine or others I block them.
This is a nice hook. I have never used one before but it looks fun to use. I only know one stitch LOL that was taught to me years ago by a older lady so I'm trying to expand my horizons LOL. Blessings
This is for crocheting an afghan stitch. Really useful because of the length. When you crochet with an afghan stitch you can then do needlepoint/cross stitch over it to create a picture on top of it. Many, many possibilities. Great find. BTW, I taught myself to crochet from books after many years of thinking it was too hard. Now I have to make up for lost time! It was easier than I could have thought possible!!!! And there are many tutorials online to get free instruction. Check out youtube.
