Both have metallic frames. The "Bouquet of Flowers" are both glass covered. The "Mother with Children" isn't glass covered nor is it meant to be. The image is on some sort of silk fabric and feels like a cushion.

do they sit on desk or hang on wall?

They're both to be hung on a wall. I failed to mention that one of the hangers are missing but I've been using a safety pin on it for about 6 years and it worked just as well.
It could also be on a desk if you were to use one of those "L" stands (lack of a better term) and it could work just as well. As a matter of fact, it looks very pretty like that.
