The listing, 2 Signed baseball cards: EDDIE MURRAY (Orioles) and DALE MURPHY (Braves) has ended.
This is a lot of two signed baseball cards. As per Listia rules, I cannot list them as "autographed" as I did not witness them being signed (although a lot of people here seem to ignore that detail, lol). While I obtain most of my signatures through the mail, I obtained these through a trade. I have no desire to misrepresent them. As these are among the very few that I have obtained through such a trade, I decided to list them together.
Dale Murphy was the NL MVP in 1982 and 1983. He hit 398 career home runs, and remained on the Hall of Fame ballot for the full 15 years without being elected; he will become eligible through the Veteran's Committee in a couple of years, and the VC will likely look more favorably upon Murphy's career than sportswriters did. One way or the other, he is certainly an Atlanta Braves legend.
The 1977 AL Rookie of the Year, Eddie Murray was elected to the Hall of Fame as a Baltimore Oriole, but also played with the Dodgers, Mets, Indians, and Angels. One of baseball's best ever switch-hitters, "Steady Eddie" produced similar career power stats to Mickey Mantle while achieving more total hits. For his career, Eddie hit 504 career home runs and knocked in 1917 runs while amassing 3255 hits.
Again, as I did not witness these cards being signed, and did not obtain them personally, I can only call them "signed" cards and can offer no COA nor can I make any claims to their authenticity. I would much rather be an honest seller than acquire piles of credits based on information that I do not know or cannot confirm.
Cards are in great shape.
Murphy signature is on a 1989 Bowman card.
Murray signature is on a 1991 Donruss card.
Thanks for looking, happy bidding, and good luck!
