I use quality shipping materials, have to pay a PayPal fee, and use tracking on all my packages. I've been burned too many times shipping without tracking and won't do it again. I need proof of delivery to protect myself.
The materials I use cost more than I recoup on about 90% of my auctions and I give free shipping on some auctions when I can.
I didn't think that was a rude question, most people do not know how much shipping and shipping materials cost. The average buyer would be very surprised if they had it broken down for them.
