The 20th anniversary edition of Dragon's Lair returns Dirk the Daring to battle the evil dragon Singe and rescue Princess Daphne. The familiar tale, originally developed by famed animator Don Bluth, has appeared on many platforms: from the original arcade laserdisc to handheld cartridge systems. Containing new scenes that never made into the final arcade version, as well as historical material collected during the past 20 years of the Dragon's Lair phenomenon, this anniversary edition is the most complete yet. The game itself boasts improved video quality, expert difficulty mode, optional hints, and the ability to play with the new scenes or Dragon's Lair in its original arcade form. Also included in the 20th Anniversary Box Set is Space Ace and Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp.

All the scenes from the original arcade releases were included and optionally the player could select new scenes that were animated in 1983, but not included in any previous Dragon’s Lair release. The games were also updated to include higher quality video, authentic scene order and a new difficulty selection to make it more challenging for Dragon’s Lair pros.
