How durable is the band? will it break if adjusted too much?

I have been wareing one of them for a few weeks and haven't had any problems with it. It should adjust fine to fit an adult with no problems and I have small fingers and had to adjust it to fit me. I woulden't try to adjust to fit a small child since this ring is designed to fit an adult.
