The listing, Heroes USA, “Firemen Raise the Flag” first class stamp postmarked & FDC- Sept.11, new york NY 10048 has ended.

The upper rendering shows the FDNY firemen raising the American flag in the aftermath of the 911 attack and the envelope shows the Tribute in Light. This is a limited edition, original, rare, genuine first day cover issued by the US Postal Service. This is the first FDC commemorating the Twin Towers and the heroes of the search and rescue mission that followed the attack of 9/11/01. This rare and highly sought after limited edition PHOTO (the “Firemen raise the Flag” ©2001 The Record-Bergen County, N. J. Photo by Thomas E. Franklin Staff Photographer) has been sold out for years and is no longer available. The lower rendering of the Twin Towers ‘Tribute in Light’ are also original and are no longer available. The first day cover is postmarked New York NY SEP 11, 2002 STA 10048 UNITED WE STAND. And finally, the first class stamp is the authentic, USPS official issue- 9/11 HEROES USA COMMEMORATIVE ISSUE STAMP 2001.

Measures 16 x 12 inches.

Mint condition, sealed in a protective Mylar sleeve.

yw:) My sons would cherish it. One is already a Firefighter 1( although both are still Juniors in HS) They both just graduated their EMT Class, & both are Volunteer Firefighters. They would take great care of it. Thanks!
