I got it off ebay and yes it is real gold. I would not put it on here if it was not. If you don't think it is then you don't have to bid. Thanks for looking and for the comment. God bless
If you can prove that its real i'll give you your GIN price. Any decent jeweler can give you a written appraisal for just a few dollars for testing gold for you. Considering 12 grams of pure gold goes for around $524.16,, I'll gladly give you 50000 considering that 50000 credits is only worth around $120 and the gold your giving away if it is in fact real is worth more than $500.. Listing still has more than 8 days so you have plenty of time to get it tested..
I brought it to a coin dealer and she did not buy it because it was flakes not nuggets. She said it is real but she did not have away to weigh the flakes.
don't let negative people get you down some people are paranoid because like me got something gold like jewelry that was stamped and they were told it was gold and they were impressive fakes that's why some are so rude and then sometimes you just can't fix stupid ...but just remember as long as you know your being honest that's all that matters :) f&w
i have a davey allison tee shirt up for auction and would like more watchers and fans.. you or anyone else could help me out please.. going for badges we all need a lil help
1977mandyo I thought i would shed sum light & help you out so you do not have to answer so many questions about your auction.
The vials that I've seen (and sold) of that size would be approx. 1/1000 oz. Imagine, 1000 vials to be one ounce of gold! All gold is worth something, but sometimes by visual it takes more than you would think. It's almost like an optical illusion, there's not as much there as it looks. Each sheet is approx. 1/100,000 inch thick.
Imagine a penny ran over on a railroad track. Looking at the flat side of it makes it look huge - the side view super little, but the weight is still there. Same with the gold. You're seeing it from the flat view instead of the side and it looks like a lot, but really it isn't.
If you melt down your vial of gold you might (if you're lucky) get a piece about the size of a grain of fine salt.
Gold leaf vials are sold for souvenir purposes only. It is pure gold but would take alot of it to have the weight. I agree with zynr above in regards to volume and space. If you take an average brown paper lunch bag and filled it with gold leaf pieces of the same kind your vial is made of, the gold would weight about 1/4 ounce, the bag would probably weigh double that or more.
These are real flakes but they can not be melted down. That is why the coin dealer i went to wouldnot buy them because she could not melt them down because they are leaf flakes. These are some good size flakes.
This is called "gold leaf flake" it's usually used by book makers, inlayers, jewelers or someone doing a project. They are not a precious metal investment and usually 12 grams sells for around $10 on ebay. Go Google "12 Grams Gold Leaf Flake" and read more about it if you're curious.
Just so you know. I live in a small town and would have to walk 3 hours to get to a jeweler. so I am not about to walk 3 hours when it is 90 to 100 degrees outside.
Any more smart mouthing people. I will remove this auction. the other guy gave me a real headache and I wont put up with any more bad talking just because you want it and don't want anyone else to bid. please be nice.thanks
looks like I have someone trying to talk people out of bidding on this so good luck people. It is real. If you don't think it is then don't bid. I bet anything the one trying to talk others out of bidding will win if he can get you all not to bid.
I a coin dealer can weigh nuggets, than he/she can weigh flakes as well. Plenty of time to take it to a jeweler or even a pawn shop for testing. from the looks of the picture, some ones for arm seems to be along side of the bag. If that is an arm and that is real gold in the bag it would weigh much more than 12 grams. The atomic weight of pure gold doesn't change based its physical condition..A bag that size having real gold would be in ounces and not grams. good luck with your scam..
