Description

The listing, Antique Wooden Kitchen Tool has ended.

I bought this thinking it was a garlic press, but I now think maybe its a pasta maker. I really dont know what it is , but it is really cool. Its is 11 inches long, and 3 1/3 inches wide. It is in good shape, and very rustic looking. Anyone know what it is?

Next time you post an auction you can try using the advanced option (near the bottom of the page) it allows you to start the auction with a minimum bid and you can change the number of days as well. With rare and neat items like this more days may have allowed more people to start watching. Most listings go way up at the very end of auctions but the more 'watchers' an item has will increase the 'bidding war'. It would be really nice if there was a place that explained listia for us new people. I've been around for a few months but I'm not that knowledgeable about it yet..

I'm not sure what it is either. I bid a few coins so I can keep an eye on it (I'm sure it will go way up on the last day of the auction). I want to watch to see if anyone knows what it is, lol. Maybe it's for juicing citrus?

I hope it does go way up..so I can pay the shipping. I paid $ 22.00 for it in a thrift store In Arlington WA. I thought it was a garlic press, When I used it for pressing garlic it wasn't too good. You could be right about it being for citrus. Thanks for your'e imput.

This potato masher should be on display. I don't have room for it. I only bought it about a year ago, and it gets moved from one place to another. I only have room for things I use everyday. Besides, it must be haunted. It speaks to me and says I need to be looked at by many people. It wants to be held and touched and wondered about by alot of people. Its bored. Buy me it says , and I can be a conversation piece. Guess what I am at parties.

It says in a beautiful script on back , carves in the wood :Alisminam. Maybe that is the company name or maybe its handmade, and someone carved his wife's name in this , as an act of love. LOL . It would also make a good weapon, if need be. LOL

Yup, I think ricer too. Beautiful piece of woodwork. I have a primitive kitchen, so this would be on display, I have a few hand made pieces of antique kitchen items. F&W :)
