Description

The listing, ACEO Mermaid has ended.

This ACEO is of my own original conception, hand-drawn and created 100% by me. This princess mermaid dons a silver glitter crown while she is having a conversation with one of her starfish friends.

Media used: pencil, Zebra pen, Tombow colored markers, genuine moss (purchased), mica chips, mini beads in copper, light blue and clear for sand and bubble effects, and a tiny faux pearl for an extra bit of whimsy!

This ACEO is one of a kind original, signed and dated on the back

I ship only to verified addresses in the US.

First, thanks lazylizard for your bid!!! Diane, an ACEO is like an ATC. ATCs and ACEOs are the same size as a playing card. ATCs can be made virtually identical and no money is exchanged. There are a lot of swaps that go on here on the Internet. An ACEO is (or should be, if the artist is honest) an original one of a kind piece. Since they are "one of a kind" and usually the artist's own artwork or at least the overall conception, they can be sold.

Please forgive my ignorance -- what is an ACEO? This is beautiful, by the way!

Both are the size of a playing card. An ACEO is like an ATC, except people swap ATCs and you cannot charge $ for them. In many ATC swaps it is a common practice to make several of a particular card identically. Usually the artist notes on the back the number in the series out of "x" number. For example, if I am going make 4 cards to swap, on the back, I'd list them on the back as 1 of 4, 2 of 4, and so on.

ACEOs are (should be) one of a kind, original and because they are completely unique (contrasting to the ATCs) you are allowed to charge for them.
