The listing, Genuine Black Star Of India Gem. has ended.
My Dad won this at a gem collectors international publicity contest. He gave it to me a few years ago, my intention was to have it placed in a ring by a jeweler. I just never did it. My loss. It is a beautiful gem. It has a white "four rayed" star. Could be placed into a piece of jewelry or to add or start a gem collection. I have no idea of the total weight. I would say 1 carat.
It is also called the “crying gemstone,” because it is believed by crystal healers to heal trauma by bringing forth cleansing tears. It is assumed to bring creativity to the wearer and is said to be related to love and commitment. Crystal healers believe that, when worn close to the chest (such as in a pendant), diopside can benefit the heart, lungs and circulation
