The listing, 4 Genuine Old Stamps from India - Ashoka pillar has ended.
You gotta love those Lions! These are four different real used vintage postage stamps from India that were part of my childhood stamp collection. These are circa 1967 and show the capital of Ashoka Pillar built by Emperor Ashoka at Sarnath (~250 BC) to commemorate the place where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon. The Lion Capital atop the pillar has been adopted as the Emblem of India. These are scans of the actual stamps, so please look closely before you bid - or feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking!!
