"The CPU works great; overheats unless you buff out the scratch with fine grade sandpaper, 800 grit, ... " (more) lay the paper grit side up on glass or a small mirror, gently rub the processor in circles until the scratch is gone. Clean CPU with rubbing alcohol to remove the particles before installing."
