I don't know, and I don't want to open it. Maybe I will just open it and see. For so e reason I don't think so since it seems to be advertising a battery back up pretty strong on it. This is the website I found most helpful with that question. I might try and look and see or if I can just cut the tape on the box and retake it...I will do that
