BEADS! A little background about me: I have been a jewelry artist since 1972 or 1973. That's a long time. My first job was unexpectedly, in the bead store which got almost every cent I had. I was offered the job on the first day I went job hunting, because I stopped in the bead store to break up the monotony of walking a LOT from place to place, looking for a "Help Wanted" sign in a window, hoping someone was hiring. Back then, no internet & no cell phones. My boss was smart. She knew how much I always spent in her store, and figured most of my pay would go right back to her. She was right! I started selling my creations when I was 14, and I was hired as the window jewelry creator & salesperson for her, when I was 17. I've owned beads for a VERY long time. Some of the beads in this auction are from way back then, and some of them are brand new, as of last month. Every day, for 21 days, as long as I get watchers or bids, I'll add some more beads or findings. Suggestions are welcome & I encourage you to ask! I love getting comments, so keep me in a great mood, and I'll be encouraged to add great items! Here's the first two items to start out - 4 acrylic beads which look like carved clay, and a dozen pair of silver kidney shaped ear wires!

Well, juniebug, you're going to love tomorrow's additions, then. You must be psychic! I will be listing one item in which I've combined some of the earlier beads I listed with the as-yet-listed addition, to show a suggestion of how to use them together. I will soon be revealing what I'm adding on the last day, when I won't be able to make any updates to the auction. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Inspiration is everywhere, though. I've always been an artist. My best works, whether in jewelry, printmaking, painting, ceramics, or anything else, have always been inspired by nature. Don't think too hard on *having* to create a piece. Go outside. Go to an aquarium. Look at the clouds. See how your hand moves through water. Close your eyes and feel the breeze through your hair. If you can't go outside, watch TV and put on Animal Planet, The Travel Channel, NatGeo, or something similar. Remember how something makes you feel. Find the beads, or metal, or whatever that helps you express that feeling. Do the same thing with music. Or art. Or cooking. Or whatever else you enjoy. Put what you love into each piece you do! ✰

Oh, you are so in luck! Scary for my bank account, but I found a new-to-me local bead store. I have no idea how I never knew about it before! I bought way too many seed beads, along with all the other beads I bought there. The shark teeth requested by peptaz go up tonight, along with some of the bugle beads I got today. I'll be taking photos of the seed beads later, and they'll probably go up tomorrow, so you'd better ask for a few colors she wants to see me post! ✰
