Description

The listing, Jukebox Hits-"The Magic of the Broadway Shows" 4 CD Set! has ended.

There are 15 songs on each of 4 CD's. I am not going to list them all, but can tell you that they come from shows that include The Phantom, Le Mis, Porgy & Bess, Oklahoma, The King and I, Sound of Music, Grease, Jesus Christ Superstar, Saturday Night Fever, Hair, The Commitments, Hello Dolly, and more.
CD's are in immaculate condition. The box shows a little wear at the corners, but is overall good.
The Shipping is FREE and it has a low GIN,
so how can you beat that?

About the images:
These were captured from Amazon.com. The actual box that you will receive, if you are the winner, is a much richer navy blue (not this nasty fadedout blue-gray color) and the box is in a little better shape. My camera has an issue with flash spots when I shoot at night inside, even with all the other lights on. Sorry. It is not meant as a misrepresentation.

Yes I'm a Broadway Junkie, lol! Was not a theatre major but lived an hour outside of Manhatten in Connecticut and worked in NYC in my younger days lol! I love living in Maine, moved here 16 years ago, but the one thing I truly miss is being able to get on the train and go to shows, museum exhibits, operas, ballets and just spending a day or 2 shopping - especially this time of year. Used to take my older kids & my grandmother to Radio City every year for the Christmas shows & to Lincoln Center for the Nutcracker. there is nothing like seeing any of them live, especially in NYC :) Now it's at least a 3 day trip for me, 1 day to drive to CT & rest after the drive, 1 day to go into NYC & have fun, 1 day to drive back to Maine & then collapse for like 3 days when I'm home, lol! Older now & disabled, but I try my hardest to go whenever I can, it's worth it :) I still have family in CT I stay with, it's great because a bunch of us oldies will take the train in, go to a show, have dinner, shop etc. My oldest son who's 27 now, drives from Maine often with his girlfriend & a couple they've been friends with for ages. Sometimes they'll stay with family, sometimes they'll drive in to NYC & spend several days. Drove once in NYC years ago, swore I will never do it again, lol! No need, all the conventient, frequent transportation, plus it's a nightmare & expensive to park. Anyway, I have 6 children & one daughter is graduating for live music production (behind the scenes magic of sound lol!) this year & looking at internships there. One of my other daughters will be a theatre major starting next year, just want her to be happy & that's what she loves ;) So yup. still a Broadway Junkie! I'm supposed to be Christmas shopping, but this one is all for me if I win it! Thanks again!

Absolutley, "Fantastik...(inside joke, of course). I was in New York a year ago in March. I won the trip for two from a nation radio congolerate and American Family Insurance, through my favorite local radio station. I am on a disability stipend, as well (there seems to be a lot of that going around, especially on Listia), so paying for such a trip would be out of the question. I took my friend, Annie, who I have known for over 30 years. We had been out t coffee and lunch a thousand times, bt never a road-trip. She has three sons who are creatie artists. Two were living there at the time. the eldest and the middle guy (who was egaged then). The youngest, was in NYC was in NYC for a performance with the Chicago theratre company he works with.We all had dinner in Soho, dessert in the Villiage. I have known the "boys" since they were very little or envitro. Now they all live in NY.
Ann and I went to see "Jersey Boys." We stayed in a very nice hotel. Then the last night. when we were suppose to leave, a tropical storm came though and shut down all the airports. However, we were able to crash for the night with Annie's eldest son in Queens, which just added to the fun.
What an adventure!
Thanks for your comment and for triggering some good memories.

Thanks to you too, this auction and you have also brought up many fond memories from my many adventures in NYC. That is so cool that you won the trip! I've won several times on one of our local radio station for Live in HD from the Met performances at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH. It's a historic theatre built in the late 1800's, very beautiful and only 45 minutes away from me. So I go when I can, it's the next best thing to being there and affordable too :) Looks and feels like you're at the Met itself, just on a smaller level. One of these days I'm going to get back there - so many plays I want to see that are newer, plus see some again that are my favorites. Love Phantom, would never tire of that one. One other that's one of the best productions I've ever seen is Les Miserables, and another I could never get sick of. Another of Andrew Lloyd Webber's that was really amazing but didn't last too long was Starlight Express, took my Mom to that, she passed away in 2003. We had a blast together and that was quite a spectacle, everyone on roller skates winding thru tracks all over the theatre. Ah, those were the days!

Best of luck on this auction, saks. I think if you win, we are going to have to do some very hard work on keeping you in the "present." Perhaps a review of "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle, huh?
