Description

The listing, Vintage Lace and Trim has ended.

These 3 pieces of trim have been in my sewing box ever since I inherited it from my grandmother and mother. I figure if I have not used it since 2012, its time to let someone else have a shot at it!

There is 132 inches of the trim in picture 2.

There is 58 inches of the black crochet edging in picture 3.

I have absolutely no idea how much is on the roll in picture 3, but i am sure there is at least 25 yards.

If you can use it, please bid. I hate to see it sit here and beg to be used every time i reach into the lace box.

I have used so much of the materials and trims they gave me (14 HUGE boxes of it) sewing for my granddaughters and their baby dolls, but I could never find a use for those trims. I just hope someone uses them with love. I still have a whole box of crocheted buttons (I auctioned a few off last year) but don't really have the heart to part with any more since my mom crocheted those when she was in her late 80's. But I am down to just 5 tubs of material and have listed some of that recently. I hope whomever gets this appreciates the way they have been taken care of. Oh - you should see the yards of tatting I have, but I am going to keep that too.

If you do, I know you will be pleased with these if you use this sort of trim. I also put some neat bonuses in = usually the type of things you don't find anywhere else unless you have 100 year old grandmas

I use vintage trims for my quilts. Mainly the crazy quilts or the commissioned wall hanging quilts that won't be laundered weekly but rather hung up or put on a spare bed.
It takes a lot if yardage and finding vintage trims makes them all the more unique and special.
Thank you for listing. Whether I am lucky enough to win , or not, I just wanted to tell you that you make this website a success when you list an auction like this :-)

Thank you for your comment. It was so nice of you. If you will pm me, I will give you my information. I already have one lady who won a vintage auction from me who collects all my scrap lace and materials as I sew, but you might be interested in some of the materials or laces. I am about to have surgery on both my hands and it will be a while before I will be sewing. Am having growths taken off thumb joints on both hands.

Thank you for the auction. I too sew with antique and vintage fabrics and trims. It gives me great satisfaction to repurpose things into something new.

I am so glad that so many people do. When my mother turned over all this material, buttons, and material to me from her and my grandmother, I just didn't know what I was going to do with them all. But I have had so much fun with them and have shared some of them. And the ones of you who write comments to me make my day!
