Plug one of them into the USB port on your computer and it will connect wirelessly to an access point (if you have a home network it could connect to your router). From there you can communicate with other devices (computers, etc) on your network and/or the internet.

To use this with a laptop that already has a WiFi Card installed...You MUST be able to disable the internal WiFi card first...Some laptops allow you to do this...Some do not...
