I don't believe so.. it has no wires in it. I think the lace braiding is just for show =)

It depends on where ppl carry there weight but It could fit a Medium and Large for sure and an XL as well. It could probally would fit a little bit more but then It'll go into the zone of not-looking-so-good-being-stretched =)
