The listing, Hippy Hand Necklace has ended.

Approx. 15" leather cord, knotted shut. Put necklace on over your head or deconstruct for cool beads and two 12 1/2" pieces of well-worn leather!
Necklace has:
4 mosaic-type clay beads, 4 metal tube-like beads, 2 flat washer-like beads and a carved-bone (?) hand with an eye on it- looks like hieroglyphics and the reverse side of hand even has a carved out palm!

I made this over 20 years ago in Morgantown, West Virginia while visiting great friends and stopping by a new Beading Shop in town. We had so much fun! I hope someone else can get some use or pleasure out of owning this now. Its been in my jewelry box for too long and is sad and lonely! LOL!

you are soooo funny...in my family eating was supposed to make you feel better...lol...eat eat.....and yes my daughter graduated 2007 with her BS(lol) degree..now she hand paints wine glasses. she has her own company...if you get a chance ck her out on face book....wine me?.......you will see all her hand painted wine glasses....she does them all free hand...shes in miami this weekend for a big wine and food convention....become a fan and when she reached 10,000 which is coming very soon....be the one to wish her a happy 10,000 fan day and you will win a free wine glass.....i dont think i am the winner of the necklace though...i wish... oh most important....i have so many stories of wonderful signs from my Grandmother and mostly my Father....its wonderful!!!!

Cool! My mom got her PhD in Music from WVU and I, being 1/4 Italian am familiar with
"the evil eye" or the "malochio"- you may have seen the little Italian horn charms and the hands with the index and pinkie fingers out- charms, they are Italian good luck charms to ward off the "evil eye" - Oh, that stuff is so cool! My Aunt Freda, full-blooded Italian used to claim to remove the Maloich from one by covering you with her hands and praying and almost speaking in tongues!!!! She was a good soul and made the BEST Spaghetti Sauce, Italian cookies, etc. I have ever been blessed to eat. She's brought me cookies in my dreams since her death a few times and she looked beautiful and young again and crazy as ever telling me I'm so pretty and eat more cookies!!!!
