Sorry! this is set in "Goldtone" not real gold or silver. The cameo material is either a bakelite material or plastic, this is simply costume jewelry.
a real cameo would be set in real 14k gold or sterling silver and the cameo would be made of coral, glass, onyx or something of the sort.
