Description

The listing, Antique Indian Painting - ORIGINAL & SIGNED!! has ended.

This antique, original, signed oil on black velvet painting is so striking and emotional that I could not pass it up...even though I have nothing else of this type in my home. The colors are beautiful and the facial features unbelievably portrayed. The artist's signature is on the bottom left corner, though I cannot quite make it out. For all I know, it could be some famous artist and I could be giving away a $150,000 painting! Perhaps your wisdom will pay off on this painting! :)

I don't know much about art, but did try to figure out when this would have been painted. It has a well-constructed wooden frame behind it, and there is a stamp on the wood. It is in Spanish, I assume...but the phone number only has 5 digits.

The best I can find out is that homes and businesses in cities had 5 digit phone numbers between 1900 and 1910...and non-city residents had 4 digits at that time. This stamp is obviously a business, and it does say Tijuana, MEX. Area codes were introduced in 1914.

I am really quite torn about giving this away...there is just such feelings of soberness, contentment and protection that eminate from it! But, I don't have anywhere to hang or store it...and it deserves to be seen and enjoyed EVERY day.

Feel free to ask questions...but you probably know more than I do! Which may very well turn out to be to your great advantage. But hey, if it's worth a hundred grand...you'll kick me back a $20, right? :0)

I will not be able to offer free shipping with this one...not knowing how many credits it will bring. However, if GIN is used, I will fork out the shipping charges & send it to you free. :)

It is about 20" x 16 ", and is painted on BLACK VELVET. I'll be sad to see this go...but HAPPY to see the winner get it!

I do, too. It has been standing in my corner for the past month as I've contemplated selling it. I've gone up and down about it, that's for sure! The winner will be very blessed, indeed. :)

Plus, I'm considering throwing in a darling little Indian Girl doll...IF bids reach a certain level...more info & a photo upcoming...! :)

She DOES? It must be a print then...because this is the original, actual painting. Wow...if this has re-prints it IS worth bucks!!! Man, too bad my parents were so diligent to instill integrity in us...I'm really starting to regret listing this. :( Still, though...I have no wall space, and this beauty deserves to be on display. Every day. (Self-comforting techniques!)

Okay, ya'll...here's one more last minute gin bonus added! I will include TWO beautiful ceramic Indian Dolls! They're so sweet...the one picture I posted is not a great one, and there are a few strands of stray hair that make it look like she has pen drawn on her face...I assure you, she does NOT. Their faces are beautiful & PERFECT! :)

I have not. Uh...where were you & your intelligence BEFORE I listed it? Yeah...starting to believe I'm not the brightest crayon in the box!

At this point, I don't even WANT to know...because it already belongs to one of YOU! (And I don't want to be sick...lol!). The minute that first bid was placed..it was no longer mine.

Good luck...may the winner be in for a tremendous surprise and blessing! (And may they not gloat to ME about it! ;)

Amazingly Captivating!!! An Original Antique Native American Painting!!!. Wow!!! All My Life I have had a strong connection with Nature and the Native American History. I live out in the middle of nowhere here in Utah. No Big Cities, just the country and Mostly nature. As a kid I remember at times I would ride my bike or four wheeler out to a place I was drawn too up in the hills. I would stop and sit on the ground with my legs folded with my eyes closed, with the sun beating upon them. As I would sit, I would have these vivid images inside my head. I was somewhere else, I would go to another time, a time in the past, and it was I tell you Amazing. Native American's lived the way I would like to live before their land was taken from them. I admire them a great amount. A lot of their beliefs are the same as mine, and interesting because I came from a strict religious background. Sorry for the long post lol. But I love it!!! For sure you have been fanned!! Also sorry I won't be watching... lol, I am bidding!!. I can not resist. lol. I am drawn to it. Funny I found it. I probably would have not seen it if it weren't for what was attracting you. It is amazing how things work out!!

can i send you money in the mail if gin is not used and how much to send i want it

Sending cash is not a great idea, as it can be stolen in the mail. But you could easily take the cash into any bank and purchase a money order that is safer to mail. If you win, I will give you the mailing address. :)

how do you except shipping payment
May 31st, 2012 at 11:51:48 AM PDT by
Original
Paypal is preferred. If you want to mail me a money order and wait for me to receive it before shipping, that would be fine as well. You would want to use certified mail so that I need to sign for it, so that you would be 100% protected. :)

I haven't taken it to find out...but when I entered the dimensions & approximate weight it gave me a rough estimate. I'll make a promise to the winner right now, that if it exceeds $20, I will pay the difference. :)
